ABOUT MAGGI
Maggi Pivovar is a mother of four, and a survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (1997) and Bacterial Meningitis. (2007). Meningitis nearly took her life on April 20, 2007.
First given 30 minutes to live, then a 98% chance to die, there was little hope for her survival. Life as she knew it was shattered. She was broken and struggling with brain damage, unrelenting pain, and despair. But, she found inspiration, reached for hope, and gradually adapted to a new, but completely different, life, which was re-framed and re-purposed into something beautiful.
Maggi Pivovar is a motivational, inspirational, and educational speaker, meningitis and vaccine advocate, and occupational therapist. She began speaking in 2009 to bring hope and encouragement to others facing their own unique challenges in life. Maggi is writing a book to encourage, inspire, and guide readers navigate through change, difficulty, and pain toward a place of joy, hope and healing.
